I am so proud of you for beginning your search for a counselor that best fits your needs.
My name is Melissa Davis and I am a Licensed Professional Counseling Supervisor. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas in 2010 and received my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University in 2013.
I bring experience working in the behavioral hospital setting with all populations. I currently treat adults struggling with psychiatric and substance use diagnoses. I have extensive experience working with those struggling with anxiety, depression, stress-related diagnoses, bipolar disorder, and addiction. I practice cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, client centered, mindfulness, dialectical behavior therapy, 12 step model and a psychoanalytical approach. My goal with you is to place emphasis on a strong therapeutic relationship so we can build mutual trust and improve overall mental health.
I will provide a safe, supportive, confidential, and nonjudgmental environment for you. My focus will be to help you reach your goals, feel empowered, learn new healthy ways of coping, practice positive self-care and overcome obstacles in your life. My goal is to help you along in your journey to have a fulfilling life in order to heal and navigate through your challenges. We will work together so you can be confident in yourself, improve your self-esteem, manage stress, challenge negative thinking and to be the resilient person that you are.
