I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families who struggle with poor communication, boundary issues, behavioral problems, depression, anxiety, and self harming behaviors. I specialize in treating teens and adults by incorporating Reality Therapy with Art Therapy techniques. By using creative expression clients are able to get in touch with what they feel, learn what they want, evaluate their behavior and make a plan for achieving the outcomes they desire. By choosing healthy thoughts and behaviors the client chooses a more fulfilling life.

Our choices determine our happiness. I believe every individual has the power to reframe their thoughts for success.

Courtney Thompson

Welcome…my name is Courtney Thompson and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage & Family therapist.

Many individuals struggle…or know someone is struggling. Professional counseling is a great way to return to the life you want to live! I provide individual counseling for adolescents, teens and adults. My specialties include helping people who are suffering from anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and life transitions. I use a future focused narrative approach to help you develop life long tools that will help you live a healthier life.

ART is an evidence-based treatment conducted by a trained professional which helps remove negative emotions and sensations from a traumatic event. It uses rapid eye movements that help clients process events and replace those images and sensations. Research has shown that clients often experience relief in just 3-5 ART sessions. ART has been proven to help with phobia, trauma, anxiety. depression and grief. Please contact me if you are interested in more information on how ART can benefit you.

I have a great passion for helping you find your way to happiness and internal peace in the midst of your struggles. I accept most major insurance plans and can be reached directly at cthompson.therapist@gmail.com or (682) 220-9485.

Samantha Sotello

We are quick to take care of our physical health by going to the doctor but going to counseling is just as important to help with our mental health. As a strong advocate for mental health, I strive to help guide individuals to develop the skills they need to feel confident in themselves and gain independence in their journey through life.

I graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, TX with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2010 and then in 2014 with my Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling. During my program, I studied abroad in both Sydney, Australia and London, England which helped to shape my understanding of cultural diversity.

Following college, I spent extensive time being trained in art therapy and over the past five years I have focused on helping children and teens work through trauma. My experience includes working closely with professionals, including law enforcement and CPS, to provide justice and healing to individuals who have experienced abuse. I am truly passionate about counseling children, adolescents and teenagers to help them find their voice and empower them to take charge of their own healing.

Along with teens and children, I have extensive experience working with adult individuals, couples and families. I believe families and couples function as systems and can work through most issues by focusing on identifying destructive patterns, working on their communication and understanding towards each other. If you are an adult client and are struggling with trauma, stress, anxiety or family issues I would be honored to work with you on those challenges.

I look forward to meeting you and working together in order to help you achieve your goals and live a rewarding lifestyle.

Rebecca Essary

Welcome!  My name is Rebecca Essary and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor & the owner of Thought Connect Therapy, PLLC.

I specialize in assisting young adults and teens navigate this crazy thing we call life. Common struggles I help individuals with include family of origin issues, anxiety, depression, self-worth issues, & adjusting to difficult life transitions. I bring an honest & transparent approach to therapy in hopes of helping you become more self-aware & confident in your ability to overcome hard things. Individuals I often work with may be seeking therapy because they feel frustrated & often wonder “why am I like this?” You may be reacting to things in a way that you wish were different & you’re aware that the way you think or feel is irrational or unhelpful, but you can’t seem to change it. You feel stuck & are seeking to understand yourself better. Many of us come from difficult families – which is our first experience about the world, often setting the standard for what is “normal” to us. If you come from a family with a history of unhealthy patterns, it is likely that you are struggling as you enter adulthood.

I believe the greatest outcomes in therapy are a direct result of the relationship between the therapist & the client. I strive to provide a space where you feel safe, heard, & empowered to make positive changes in your life. I am available for in person and virtual sessions. Please contact me for a free 15-minute consultation at (682) 407-2996 or rebeccaessary@thoughtconnecttherapy.com.
